Abstract:
Consideration of the labor law protection of pregnant and women who have recently given birth in the law of the Republic of Serbia is a continuously current, taking into account the need for legislative and practice improvement, so a review of European union law is of special importance. An analysis of the special protection of this category of employees in acquis communautaire is necessary to determine the directions for the development of domestic positive law and to find adequate normative measures for providing essential support. In addition to the legislative review of the vunerable status of pregnant and women who have recently given birth, it is also important to pay attention to the practical implementation of regulations, as this prevents discrimination in employment and at work
